I followed the Cypress CyUsb3 sys Programmers Reference Guide to install windows 10 driver x64 on my PC but my fx3 device cannot work In Device Manager the status is 'this device cannot start (code 10)'. RE: XPS 15z Cypress Trackpad Drivers on Windows 10 Jump to solution The L3xx driver doesn't install, so there is no cypress touchpad configuration page - therefore no way to toggle the touchpad off (however I did find a way to disable it in the default driver settings, but I couldn't find it again a second time - greyed out). If like me you recently bought a new computer with an Elantech touchpad, and installed Ubuntu on it, chances are your touchpad lacks the multitouch features, and therefore, you can’t scroll with it. I wiped my drive and did a clean install of Win 10 and would like the touch-pad option to shut off the touch pad when a USB mouse is attached. The default drive Win 10 gives doesn't have that option. Reading here I see the updated driver for the L3xx doesn't work for pinch and zoom but does anyone know if it at least gives the touch-pad shut off check box when a mouse is plugged in? The L3xx driver doesn't install, so there is no cypress touchpad configuration page - therefore no way to toggle the touchpad off (however I did find a way to disable it in the default driver settings, but I couldn't find it again a second time - greyed out). The Windows 7 driver installs fine (using the instructions for manual install posted earlier in the thread), the options page is present, the icon in the taskbar as normal. Two finger gestures work, and best of all the disable option works. I have recently bought a Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition (also known as Sputnik), supplied with Ubuntu 12.04. I've wiped that and installed 13.10 from scratch.
If a suitable device is available, Ubuntu should show extra trackpad options in System Settings -> Mouse & Touchpad, but I just get the usual ones (Primary Button, Double Click [Speed] and Mouse Speed). This is fixed using, found via. Although the poster in the first link found the fix did not work fully in their case, it has completely resolved it for me. The fix is simply to add this line at the end of /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf: blacklist i2c-hid This results in only one driver being recognised, which now provides the expected trackpad switches in Ubuntu Settings. Two-finger scroll now works fine. Interestingly it looks like I am indeed running a Synaptics touchpad - it is still detected thus: SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad and there is no mention of a Cypress device at all.
